Social Work Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Social Work Practitioner to join our Cared for Children service in Greater Manchester. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex cases, providing expert advice to other social workers, and supporting the development of less experienced colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of complex cases, providing expert advice to other social workers.
- Support and mentor less experienced colleagues, including the supervision of students, trainees, and support staff.
- Lead in the planning and reviewing of cases, working closely with service users, their families, and carers to deliver high-quality care and promote independence.
- Collaborate with internal and external agencies to gather relevant information for care planning and assessment.
- Maintain and update case records to high ethical and quality standards.
- Write clear and high-quality reports, presenting evidence in court when required for care proceedings.
- Use initiative in handling complex situations, evaluating your own and others' practices to continuously improve service outcomes.
- Respond to duty matters on a rota basis, ensuring smooth service operation.

- Degree in social care
