About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Assistant Catering Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional food and world-class customer service to a major High Street brand. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for ensuring high-quality operations and a commitment to excellence.

This is a part-time position, contracted to 30 hours per week. You'll be responsible for managing all Compass Group UK&I catering and service operations for the client on site. Your duties will include:

  • Overseeing kitchen and service team performance to ensure exceptional customer experience and high-quality food production.
  • Maintaining accurate records of inventory management, stock control, and ordering supplies.
  • Liaising with clients to address their needs and concerns, ensuring a positive partnership.
  • Developing and implementing processes to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.

Your success as an Assistant Catering Manager will be measured by your ability to lead the team, maintain excellent relationships with clients, and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales growth, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £35,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. If you are a motivated and results-driven individual with a passion for customer service and culinary excellence, we encourage you to apply.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar catering or hospitality management position.
  • An HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant field, such as hospitality, business administration, or a related subject.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and suppliers.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve goals.
  • Basic IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and point-of-sale systems.
