Location: Kidderminster/Stourport

Shift: 30-50 hours. Friday Saturday Sunday (Kidderminster) Monday Tuesday (Stourport)

Hours: 7:45 am - 5:15 pm

Pay Rate: £12.60 per hour

To ensure the safe and effective day-to-day operation of machinery and equipment, handling waste in line with required procedures and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate machinery and equipment safely, adhering to all operating procedures.
  • Maintain relevant records as required for compliance.
  • Ensure site monitoring regimes and waste acceptance procedures are followed in line with landfill permit requirements.
  • Be fully knowledgeable about waste management licence requirements, including waste acceptance, control procedures, operational controls, maintenance, and emergency plans.
  • Perform daily safety checks on machinery and equipment.
  • Report any defects in accordance with the defect procedure.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in rest areas and through general housekeeping.
  • Keep machinery in clean, operational condition.
  • Perform other duties as reasonably required, consistent with the general level of responsibility of the role.

Knowledge / Qualifications:

  • Experience and/or qualification in the operation of heavy plant machinery is desirable.
  • Understanding of waste acceptance and landfill operations.
  • Ability to work flexibly and unsupervised within a team environment.
