We are seeking an experienced HMRC Tax Specialist to join our team in Grant Thornton UK. The role involves supporting Partners and Directors to manage tax disputes, producing well-supported pieces of technical research, and expanding the internal network at Grant Thornton.

The ideal candidate will have relevant tax experience, strong knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation, and demonstrable experience working in a corporate/international tax team. They will be able to lead on both large and small projects with colleagues across the wider team.

Salary: £60,000 - £90,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Partners and Directors to manage tax disputes, completing analysis and computations to quantify the client's taxable position
  • Produce well-supported pieces of technical research by using relevant legislation, guidance issued by tax authorities, and the firm's technical resources
  • Expand the internal network at Grant Thornton and support other teams who have existing clients with an HMRC dispute
