Job Title: Safety Requirements Manager

Location: Various locations across the UK, with flexible working arrangements available.

Salary: Up to £61,500 per annum, dependent on experience.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Requirements Manager to join our Dreadnought Combat Systems Safety Engineering team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing safety requirements across various sub-systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage safety requirements from whole boat to combat systems, ensuring accurate recording in DOORS.
  • Lead the Requirements Decomposition process, working closely with the Safety Team to ensure effective safety requirements management.
  • Deliver regular reports to the Senior Engineering Manager on safety requirements process performance.
  • Liaise with Subsystems, Safety Team, and Suppliers to ensure effective safety requirements management.
  • Provide specialist support to the Safety Team and Subsystems in conducting Gap Analysis between Formal Safety Requirements and assumptive Safety Requirements.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience using DOORS.
  • Proven safety requirements management skills, with recent experience in managing requirements up and down the V cycle.
  • A degree or relevant level of experience in requirements management.
  • Defence contract experience.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative engagement skills.

Desirable Skills:

Appreciation of Safety FHAs, FTAs, PSSAs, and Safety Fault Schedules.
