About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team at our Shawbury site in Shropshire. This is a 6-month fixed term position that will involve supporting our team with preventative and reactive maintenance across the site.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for undertaking and coordinating maintenance tasks to ensure business continuity. This will include identifying, prioritizing, and executing maintenance tasks over multiple disciplines.

You will also participate in the scheduling, communication, and delivery of effective preventative maintenance. Additionally, you will ensure that the appropriate contractors are selected, inducted to site, and deliver a safe service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake and coordinate maintenance tasks to ensure business continuity
  • Identify, prioritize, and execute maintenance tasks over multiple disciplines
  • Participate in the scheduling, communication, and delivery of effective preventative maintenance
  • Ensure the appropriate contractors are selected, inducted to site, and deliver a safe service

Requirements

  • Strong team player with a methodical approach and ability to plan, organize, and manage workload
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literate, particularly in Excel and Word
  • Ideal qualifications include forklift truck and electrical equipment maintenance
  • Project management skills and competence in using power tools
  • Basic plumbing, woodwork, painting, and decorating skills
  • Confident working at height and using ladders
  • Excellent 'can-do' attitude
