We are seeking a skilled Mechanical and Electrical Engineer to join our Maintenance Team at Imerys. As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for providing mechanical and electrical knowledge and skills to maximize plant and equipment availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine preventive, corrective & breakdown maintenance
  • Fault finding, diagnostic and installation work
  • Calibrate and diagnose faults on instrumentation systems
  • Carry out Risk assessments and ensure all work areas are clean and free from hazards
  • Ordering site spares
  • Working from height and in confined spaces
Requirements
  • Background from within a production/heavy industrial environment with mechanical and electrical experience of fixed processing plant and equipment
  • Experience of working with/ on pumps, welding, mills, burners/furnaces/gas, intrusive chemical work and centrifuges is essential
  • Apprenticeship in mechanical/electrical engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Strong HSE ethos
  • Proficient in the use of IT
  • Legally able to drive in the UK
