About the Role

EG Group is seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our expanding IT Department. As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting and maintaining our infrastructure solutions and services, ensuring seamless delivery and acting as an escalation point for our support desks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Infrastructure Manager to plan and implement changes in a structured and assured manner.
  • Assist with regular testing of our Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans and contribute to their ongoing review.
  • Support infrastructure incident management and resolution.
  • Act on alerts generated by our monitoring systems in a timely manner.
  • Support our IT Service Desk function.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve our infrastructure.
  • Document common practices, process flow diagrams, and maintain our knowledge base.

Requirements

  • Hold a broad technical background and have experience with most of the following:
  • Active Directory Administration.
  • Hypervisor technologies (Hyper-V, AHV, or equivalent).
  • Networking knowledge (LAN, IPv4, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, Managed Switches, VLANs).
  • PowerShell or any other scripting language or automation methodology.
  • Office 365 / Exchange Online.
  • Windows Server (2008-2019).
  • Windows (7, 10).
  • Veeam Backup – desired but not essential.
  • Linux/Unix administration experience – desired but not essential.
