Urban Connect is currently seeking a highly skilled MEICA Construction Manager to join their team.

This role involves managing large-scale wastewater treatment projects, specifically within the Thames Water framework. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation (MEICA) systems, as well as leadership skills to ensure efficient project execution.

Key Qualifications:

  • A Level 6 qualification in Construction Site Management (NVQ, HNC, or HND) or a degree in Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • CSCS card – Gold level (Supervisor or Manager).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., confined space, fire marshal, first aid, temporary works supervisor).

Essential Experience and Skills:

  • Extensive experience in construction site management, preferably with a background in wastewater treatment or similar infrastructure projects.
  • Deep knowledge of MEICA systems and their integration within large-scale civil engineering projects.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including understanding the implications of early warning notices and the financial aspects of construction.
  • Proven track record of managing teams and subcontractors on complex construction sites.

Desirable Competencies:

  • Leadership and management skills for driving safety, productivity, and quality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to unexpected challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, engineers, and subcontractors.
