NexGen Associates is a leading provider of innovative software solutions, seeking a talented Cloud Native Software Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop Cloud-Native Applications: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy modern cloud-native web applications and APIs.
  • Lead Technical Solutions: Work closely with product managers, designers, and developers to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into effective technical solutions.
  • Ensure High-Quality Code: Exhibit excellent software craftsmanship, ensuring high-quality and reliable code.
  • Apply Best Practices: Utilize modern design principles and best practices to produce clean, secure, and maintainable code.
  • Manage Source Control: Demonstrate proficiency with source control tools such as Git, GitHub, and Azure DevOps, including branching, merging, and pull requests.
  • Work with Databases: Develop efficient and scalable data storage solutions using PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server.
  • Embrace DevOps: Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Ensure Quality: Conduct comprehensive testing, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, to guarantee first-class software quality and reliability.
  • Stay Informed: Keep up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in cloud-native development.

Requirements for the Role:

  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to gather and analyze requirements, and translate them into working technical solutions.
  • Design and Develop Cloud-Native Applications: Be responsible for the design, development, testing, and deployment of modern cloud-native web applications and APIs.
  • Exhibit Software Craftsmanship: Demonstrate a high level of software craftsmanship, commitment to quality, and a conscientious approach to work.
  • Utilize Modern Design Principles: Utilize modern design principles and best practices to produce clean, secure, and maintainable code.
  • Manage Source Control: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of source control tools such as Git, GitHub, and Azure DevOps, as well as the concepts of Branching, Merging, and Pull Requests.
  • Work with Databases: Be comfortable working with databases, including PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server, to help develop highly efficient and scalable data storage solutions.
  • Embrace DevOps: Have a DevOps mindset, and actively participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Ensure Quality: Conduct comprehensive testing, and be comfortable with the concepts of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, to ensure first-class software quality and reliability.
  • Stay Informed: Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to cloud-native development.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Strong Proficiency in C#: Strong proficiency in C#, NuGet, and XUnit.
  • .NET Core and ASP.NET Core: Strong knowledge of.NET Core and ASP.NET Core.
  • Visual Studio and VS Code: Proficiency in Visual Studio and VS Code.
  • Source Control: Demonstrate proficiency with source control tools such as Git, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.
  • Databases and Data Storage: Experience working with databases, including PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, and Redis.
  • Containerization: Experience with containerization using Docker.
  • Cloud Native Development: Experience in developing cloud-native web applications and APIs.
  • Microservices Architecture: Familiarity with microservices architecture and design patterns.
  • Cloud Computing Concepts: Good understanding of cloud computing concepts and cloud-native development principles.
  • DevOps Practices: Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Agile Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
