We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team at fish4.co - Jobboard. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth and development.

Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off. Hours within this shift pattern are Mon - Fri: 7am - 5pm and Sat - Sun 6am - 4pm (Average of 35 hours per week). Overtime paid at time and a half.

Job Purpose:

To optimize vehicle utilization and plan deliveries to farms on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  1. To minimize environmental impact by reducing waste and promoting recycling.
  2. To ensure timely delivery of farm orders.
  3. Input orders into the system.
  4. Communicate effectively with farmers.
  5. To meet order requirements and communicate deviations to relevant parties.
  6. Work within allocated transport budget and KPIs.
  7. Improve systems, performance, and reduce costs.
  8. Monitor driver training, equipment, and mentoring to ensure legal compliance.
  9. Ensure records are filed to comply with audit and legal requirements.
  10. To ensure all work carried out by drivers and third-party providers complies with company health and safety and environmental policies.
  11. Able to provide out-of-hours mobile phone cover.

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of Microsoft Packages
  • Decisive decision making
  • Organized
  • Experience with planning software (desirable)
  • Experience in Transport Planning (desirable)
  • Good interpersonal skills
