About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team at Hazel Cottage School, part of Options Autism. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our school facilities, providing a safe and supportive environment for our pupils and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair school facilities, including buildings, equipment, and grounds
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety procedures to minimize hazards
  • Manage and maintain school vehicles and equipment
  • Coordinate and supervise maintenance and repair work
  • Develop and implement facilities management plans to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with staff and stakeholders to ensure facilities meet the needs of pupils and staff
Requirements
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
  • Experience in facilities management, maintenance, or a related field
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends
