Senior Property Solicitor Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Property Solicitor to join our Legal Services team within the local government sector. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert legal advice and support on property-related matters, particularly in the context of public sector work.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing property transactions, advising on land and property issues, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that will shape the future of the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, leases, easements, and licenses.
  • Provide legal support for local government property-related projects, including land sales, developments, regeneration schemes, and affordable housing initiatives.
  • Offer expert legal advice on property law, landlord and tenant matters, land use, planning regulations, and compulsory purchase orders.
  • Represent the Council in property disputes, including boundary disputes, landlord/tenant conflicts, and matters arising from development agreements or planning issues.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide integrated legal support across the organisation's property-related initiatives.
