Competent Maintenance Engineer Required

Our client, a reputable plastic manufacturing company, is seeking a skilled maintenance engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

As a member of their experienced team, you will be responsible for performing planned and reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of production equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis and repair
  • Working with electrical and mechanical systems, including hydraulics, controls, and automated control systems
  • Assisting with training junior members and apprentices
  • Collaborating with the team to improve site maintenance and efficiency

Requirements:

  • Several years of experience as an industrial multi-skilled engineer
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including PLC fault finding and Allen Bradley/Siemens automated control systems
  • Previous experience in injection moulding or plastic manufacturing is preferred
  • NVQ level 3 or above in electrical/mechanical engineering
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
