Senior Linguistic Consultant

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced freelance interpreters to join our team at Language Empire in Sidmouth, Devon. As a Senior Linguistic Consultant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality interpreting services to various clients across the UK.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent language skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to work independently in a self-employed capacity. You will be fluent in English and another language, with formal qualifications in interpreting or translation preferred but not essential.

The role involves interpreting for people using legal, health, and local government services, as well as conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting. You will also be required to check the non-English speakers' understanding after each sentence and liaise between the service user and service provider.
