Job Title: AAT/ACCA Trainee Management Accountant

Investigo is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented AAT/ACCA Trainee Management Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial support to our clients across various Group companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and approval of purchase invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with VAT regulations.
  • Complete the monthly and year-end close processes, including production of management accounts and reports.
  • Prepare management accounting journals, variance analysis, and month-end reports.
  • Maintenance and reconciliation of fixed asset registers, including depreciation calculations and GL postings.
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including intercompany accounts and control accounts.
  • Production of reporting packs for Joint venture partners.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Support the annual audit process, preparation of supporting schedules and reconciliations.
  • Ensure VAT compliance on an ongoing basis, including review of sales and purchase invoices.
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and submission within statutory deadlines.
  • Preparation of annual service charge budgets and balancing reconciliations for commercial and residential property.
  • Arranging payments as required, including supplier payments and intercompany loan transactions.
Success Measures:
  • Production of accurate and timely management and financial accounts.
  • Minimal amendments required on review of management accounts.
  • Monthly balance sheet reviews and reconciliations to the TB.
  • Timely review and approval of purchase invoices.
  • Accurate and timely submission of VAT returns.
  • Completion and issuance of service charge budgets and balancing reconciliations within statutory deadlines.
