It is essential for non-executive directors to maintain the utmost standards of integrity and transparency while fostering positive relationships within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver effective oversight, governance, and leadership to the trust, aligning with its strategic objectives to ensure the provision of high-quality healthcare services.
  • Evaluate the performance of the executive director team against established goals and objectives, ensuring accurate reporting of outcomes.
  • Verify the integrity of financial, clinical, and other relevant information, ensuring that financial and clinical quality controls, along with risk management systems, are robust and defensible.
  • Contribute to determining suitable remuneration levels for executive directors and play a significant role in their appointment and succession planning.
  • Actively participate as a member of various Board committees and assume the role of committee chair when appointed.

Collaboration and Leadership:

As a member of the Board, the Non-Executive Director will collaborate with seven other non-executive directors, the Chair, and seven executive directors.
