Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced cook to join our team at Completely Care. As a cook in our care settings, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious and delicious meals to our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a deep understanding of the dietary needs of different age groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and dietary requirements.
  • Ensure all meals are nutritious, well-balanced, and visually appealing.
  • Adapt menus and recipes to accommodate the specific dietary needs of residents, including those with allergies or special dietary restrictions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all health and safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of food items.
  • Work collaboratively with care staff to understand and meet the needs of residents.
  • Maintain accurate records of food temperatures, deliveries, and inventory.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a cook in care settings such as care homes, residential homes, or nurseries.
  • Knowledge of dietary needs and nutrition, particularly for elderly residents and young children.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above) and a valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
