Animal Welfare Auditor
NSF is seeking an experienced Animal Welfare Auditor to conduct on-site assessments of aquaculture farms in the UK and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Job Summary

This role involves conducting on-site assessments of aquaculture farms to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for compliance with relevant regulations and standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of aquaculture farms to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Provide recommendations for improvement and suggest corrective actions.
  • Communicate findings and results of audits with client site management or appropriate representatives.
  • Develop effective work plans for the completion of assigned audits within a determined timeframe.

Requirements
  1. At least five years' experience in agriculture/aquaculture roles and knowledge of animal welfare throughout the supply chain.
  2. An HND or degree in Agriculture/Aquaculture, or related discipline.
  3. An ISO lead assessor qualification, HACCP qualification, and Poultry/Animal Welfare Officer qualifications.
  4. Knowledge of farms assurance schemes and animal welfare legislation.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  7. Ability to manage conflict and difficult situations.
  8. Ability to manage own time and meet strict deadlines.
