Job Overview

Inhabit Group is seeking an experienced Associate Mechanical Professional to join our MEP Practice in London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects, managing key clients, and assisting the mechanical team in tendering projects. Additionally, they will work effectively alone and as part of the wider MEP team, preparing design calculations and checking design drawings and specifications.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced mechanical design engineer at the Associate level to work within a well-known consultancy, working on a diverse project portfolio.

The salary for this role is approximately £70,000-£90,000 per annum, depending on experience. This figure is based on industry standards and location.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects and manage key clients
  • Assist the mechanical team in tendering projects
  • Work effectively alone and as part of the wider MEP team
  • Preparation of design calculations in line with industry standards, regulatory compliance, and best practice
  • Checking design calculations, design drawings, and specifications prepared by others

Requirements:

  • BEng or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering related subject/suitable equivalent experience
  • High level of technical skill in mechanical building services
  • Exceptional skill and knowledge of working in a design consultancy
  • Significant experience in the production of Mechanical design across all RIBA Stages 0 to 7
  • Capable of accurate work under pressure and able to work on several projects simultaneously
