Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Consultant to join our team at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to contribute to the delivery of high-quality diagnostic neuroradiology services.

Responsibilities
  • Support inpatient/AE neuroradiology service, busy Stroke Unit, Neurology service, Neurosurgery, and Neuro ITU
  • Cover Spine MDT and support other Neuro/Head and neck radiology MDTs as required or interested

The ideal candidate will have experience in head and neck FNAs to support the head and neck/Thyroid service and be well-versed with reporting CT Angiograms for Stroke, aneurysms, etc. Experience with advanced imaging modalities such as Perfusion, Spectroscopy, Functional MRI is desirable.

Patients across north east London are benefitting from two new state-of-the-art theatres at KGH and our Community Diagnostic Centres at Barking Community Hospital and St George's Health and Wellbeing Hub will significantly increase the number of scans that can be carried out.

Requirements
  • Experience in diagnostic neuroradiology and/or neuroradiology fellowship
  • Ability to report cross-sectional neuro and head and neck radiology scans performed on new MRI and CT scanners
  • Desirable: experience with advanced imaging modalities such as Perfusion, Spectroscopy, Functional MRI

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £150,000 - £200,000 per annum, depending on experience.
