About the Role:

  • As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for proactive and reactive maintenance of the infrastructure from an Electrical and Mechanical aspect
  • Attending to breakdowns and performing planned preventative maintenance
  • Working within a team environment and independently when needed
  • Electrical installation of new machinery as required
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety procedures
  • Working on a variety of machinery, including injection moulding machines, grinders, heat treatment machines, and furnaces
  • Working from drawings and specifications
  • Fault finding on PLC's and other electrical systems
  • Welding and fabrication skills
  • Fixed wiring inspection and testing

Requirements:

  • Level 3 or above in Mechanical Engineering (City and Guilds - Apprentice trained)
  • Desirable: HNC and HND qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a multi-skilled maintenance engineer position
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and confidence in electrical skills
  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing maintenance background
  • PLC fault finding experience
  • 18th edition certification
  • Experience with similar machinery
  • Good work ethic and ability to work independently
