Precision Machinist

We are seeking an experienced Precision Machinist to join our team at Recruit4staff. Based near Deeside, this permanent position offers a competitive salary of £40,000 - £55,000 per annum.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing CNC programs for lathe operations based on engineering drawings/models and specifications. This involves setting up and operating CNC lathes to produce precision parts, selecting appropriate tooling and fixtures for each job, assembling and disassembling machine components as needed, performing regular maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines, and collaborating with engineers and designers to optimize machining processes.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have experience in operating HAAS/HYUNDAI/BROADBENT machines and programming using FeatureCam or MasterCam. Proficiency in CAD software for creating or modifying part designs is also essential, along with strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining principles. Additionally, proficiency in tooling selection, assembly, and fabrication techniques, experience with materials handling and inventory management in a warehouse setting, basic math skills for calculations and measurements, familiarity with logic controllers and programming languages used in CNC machines, and knowledge of welding processes and techniques are required.
