Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our client's R&D team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and documenting electrical systems for complex electromechanical medical machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead system and subsystem-level designs, applying engineering principles and techniques to bring innovative new products to market.
- Work across the full product development lifecycle, from concept to validation, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
- Manage multiple projects, including report writing and technical guidance to project teams.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and user manuals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and quality engineers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, medical electrical standards, and regulated industry design control processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., electrical, mechanical, biomedical engineering).
- 5+ years of system-level experience in electrical engineering, including design, development, and testing.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience in managing schedules, resources, and project teams.
- Experience with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) and serviceability.
- Familiarity with controlling electro-mechanical devices (motors, solenoids, heaters) and understanding machine electrical hardware (wiring, connectors, power management).
- Experience in creating requirements and test procedures for electrical systems and printed circuit board assemblies.
