Job Title: Freight Operator

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled freight operator to work in Hoddesdon. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering goods to customers across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering goods to customers within designated areas
  • Operating a 7.5T vehicle, adhering to safe driving practices, and ensuring loads are secure
  • Completing paperwork accurately and efficiently
  • Interacting with customers professionally and resolving any queries or concerns
  • Working independently and collaboratively as part of a two-man crew
  • Maintaining a clean and well-maintained vehicle, adhering to company standards

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-year experience as a 7.5T driver with at least 180 days of driving experience in the UK within the last 2 years
  • Valid UK driver's license and CPC certification
  • Digital tacho card and adherence to Working Time Directive laws
  • Pass working time and highway code tests
  • Good understanding of English language, written and verbal
  • Manual and written assessment pass
  • Willingness to undergo a drug and alcohol test

Terms and Conditions:

  • 8 to 12 hour shifts, Monday to Sunday
  • £17.48 per hour (Monday to Sunday) and £23.50 per hour (OT)
  • Five on three off rota, with start times at 06:00 AM or 10:00 AM
  • Full-time position with potential for permanent employment
