Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled pharmacist to join our NES Pharmacy team as a Practice Educator. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the quality assurance, development, and delivery of the Foundation Training Year (FTY) programme for trainee pharmacists.

The successful candidate will have experience of supervision or education in the workplace and be able to work collaboratively across NES and the NHS Scotland pharmacy service. They will be responsible for developing and delivering the FTY programme to trainee pharmacists and promoting educational developments across the career pathways.

This role offers a unique opportunity to bring pharmacy education and training expertise to the national context and contribute to the delivery and development of the curriculum and assessment strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver the FTY programme to trainee pharmacists
  • Work collaboratively across NES and the NHS Scotland pharmacy service
  • Contribute to the delivery and development of the curriculum and assessment strategy
  • Promote educational developments across the career pathways
Requirements
  • Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Experience of supervision or education in the workplace
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build networks and communities of practice
  • Experience in the delivery of activities which support change and development
