About Beyond

Beyond is a pioneering initiative at TLT LLP, designed to address the lack of diversity in the legal sector and provide opportunities for individuals from underrepresented backgrounds to succeed.

Programme Overview

The Beyond programme is a comprehensive development programme that offers a unique blend of training, mentorship, and work experience. Successful candidates will embark on a transformative journey, gaining valuable skills and insights that will prepare them for a successful career in law.

Key Programme Components
  • Mentorship: Candidates will be assigned a dedicated mentor who will provide guidance and support throughout the programme.
  • Trainee Buddy: Each candidate will be paired with a trainee buddy who will facilitate networking and collaboration opportunities.
  • Induction Session: Candidates will attend an induction session, where they will meet key stakeholders and network with their peers.
  • Learning and Employability Sessions: Candidates will participate in three learning and employability sessions, designed to develop key skills and knowledge.
  • Legal Workshop: Candidates will attend a legal workshop, where they will gain hands-on experience and insights into the legal profession.
  • Vacation Scheme: Candidates will participate in a two-week Vacation Scheme, where they will work on live legal cases and gain practical experience.
What to Expect

Candidates can expect a dynamic and supportive environment, where they will be encouraged to grow and develop their skills. The programme is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the legal profession and equip candidates with the skills and knowledge required to succeed.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Beyond programme, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Penultimate year/final year law student or graduate from any discipline (PGDL will be required prior to commencement of SQE prep course)
  • 2:1 degree (obtained or predicted)
