About This Role

BlackRock, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Financial Services Audit Professional to join its Internal Audit team. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in supporting the execution of the firm's annual audit plan and advisory activities.

Job Description

This position involves a range of responsibilities, including:

  • Serving as a liaison between the Internal Audit team and various business units across the organization.
  • Leading process walkthrough meetings with senior stakeholders to identify key risks and controls within specific business units.
  • Preparing detailed process narratives and diagrams to document risk mitigation strategies.
  • Evaluating control design and operating effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Investigating and escalating issues identified during testing, working closely with business unit leaders to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Validating remediation of issues and ensuring that recommended controls are implemented effectively.

In addition, this role requires participation in ongoing business monitoring and optimization activities, including:

  • Identifying emerging firm-wide and business risks, understanding key changes in strategies and operating models through ongoing engagements with business management.
  • Completing annual risk assessments of business areas, providing recommendations for improvement and monitoring progress.
  • Contributing to projects aimed at optimizing business processes and control activities, enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
  • Providing advisory services during the development of new businesses and systems, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A strong understanding of financial services and internal audit principles, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with peers and business partners.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques, with the ability to extract insights and recommendations from complex data sets.
