A high-profile consultancy is seeking an accomplished Project Lead to join their prestigious Glasgow office. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with Who's Who Legal Experts on complex domestic and international disputes.

This role is ideal for ambitious professionals who excel in delivering expert-level delay analysis and possess a proven track record of success. You will be responsible for managing a team of Delay Analysts on multiple concurrent projects and will have opportunities to grow your team, win new business, and progress towards delay expert status.

Your responsibilities will include working with the Delay team to prepare analysis and expert reports for high-value arbitration and litigation proceedings. This will involve:

  • Developing expertise in writing own expert reports
  • Delivering expert delay and forensic planning services according to client briefs
  • Networking and winning new business, developing relationships with construction industry solicitors and influential contacts within construction building and civil engineering contractors
  • Critically analysing project and major programme performance, identifying root causes of distress
  • Leading development of contract and commercial strategies to recover project or major programme performance
  • Analysing Client claims and/or disputes, providing strategic advice on proceeding or amending the basis of claim
  • Providing effective stakeholder management, chairing meetings with Clients and other advisors as necessary
  • Couching and training delay analysis team members, encouraging their professional progression

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years of experience in delay, planning, and related construction and engineering industries
  • Significant exposure to managing programmes, using planning software and delay analysis techniques
  • Strong knowledge of common planning software such as Primavera, Asta PowerProject, TILOS, CEMAR, Excel
  • Experience contributing sections to expert report writing
  • Ability to work towards or write own expert reports
  • Extensive experience delivering expert delay and forensic planning services to satisfied clients
  • Experience developing and pursuing claims up or down the supply chain
  • Built profile with construction industry solicitors and influential contacts within construction building and civil engineering contractors
  • Experience coaching and training delay analysis team members, encouraging their professional progression
