Assistant Nursery Chef

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Nursery Chef/Cook to join our team at Farley Nursery School, part of the Storal group. As an Assistant Nursery Chef/Cook, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals for our children, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Your duties will include providing balanced and nutritional meals for all children, instilling Storal values in food and hygiene, and ensuring compliance with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health-Food Safety, Health, and Safety, and Ofsted guidelines. You will also be responsible for maintaining stock levels, ensuring stock rotation, and being aware of COSHH and following relevant guidelines. You will deputise for the Cook in all absences and be expected to deputise full-time when required. To be successful in this role, you will require a minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role, Level 2 Food and Hygiene certification, and an understanding of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH. You will also need to reflect the Storal values around responsibility, openness, and working together.
