Job OverviewThis role offers an exciting opportunity for a qualified chef to work with fresh seasonal food, enjoy a better work-life balance, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced chef who can lead and motivate a team, create warm and welcoming environments, and deliver high-quality dishes cooked to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the kitchen efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of meals while maintaining the highest quality and standards.
- Work with fresh produce to create innovative and wholesome dishes that cater to the dietary needs of our residents.
- Assist in creating a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting a sense of belonging and motivating colleagues to excel.
- Contribute to menu planning, ensuring menus are nutritious, flavoursome, and tailored to meet the unique needs of our residents.
- Maintain accurate stock control, adhering to HACCP guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
- Participate in regular audits to maintain and improve kitchen standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- A genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents, demonstrated through a personable and warm approach.
- Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification in culinary arts.
- Experience in helping lead and inspire a team, promoting a positive and inclusive culture.
- A good understanding of nutrition, with the ability to create menus that cater to diverse dietary needs.
- Experience of working with fresh seasonal food, utilising its natural flavours and textures to create innovative dishes.
- The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home, fostering a sense of community and belonging among residents.
- Good understanding of HACCP principles, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all.
- Competitive salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
