Job Summary

Dr Mahbub's Surgery, Brace Street Health Centre, is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our primary care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working independently, and making autonomous decisions in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide timely care to patients, negating unnecessary delays in receiving treatment and reducing the need for referrals to GPs.
  • Develop close, long-term relationships with patients, working in partnership with them to achieve optimum health outcomes.
  • Independently prescribe appropriate medication, evaluate or refer to other specialists as necessary.
  • Assist in the development of an integrated approach to patient care, involving all relevant stakeholders, including health and social care organizations.
  • Provide clinical expertise to patients, assessing and treating their medical conditions, and providing clinical support to colleagues.
  • Continuously develop and expand personal clinical expertise as an autonomous practitioner.
  • Participate in clinical audit, contributing to the development and implementation of standards and audit activities.
About Us

Dr Mahbub's Surgery is a small, well-established, and friendly GP practice serving a patient population of approximately 3,300. We are committed to providing high-quality patient care and are seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team.

Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • Masters degree required for qualification post December 2020, or postgraduate diploma or degree for Advanced Practice Qualification up to December 2020.
  • Qualified Independent Nurse Prescriber on the NMC register.
  • Experience of practice within the four pillars of clinical practice, leadership and management, education, and research.
  • Job plan demonstrating advanced nursing practice and equity with peers working at this level.
