A comprehensive opportunity has arisen for a skilled Cyber Security Systems Specialist to join our high-security site engineering team in Plymouth.

This full-time position involves working 40 hours a week with additional call-out and standby responsibilities. You will be part of a dedicated site-based team, requiring flexibility to meet shift patterns.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Attend to reactive fault calls, rectifying faults on the first visit as a critical KPI.
  2. Conduct a rolling program of preventative maintenance, as scheduled by team co-ordinators and managers.
  3. Perform installation and commissioning works as directed by team co-ordinators and managers.
  4. Collaborate with the site Project Manager & Site Manager to ensure all actions have suitable ownership and are completed promptly.
  5. Assist Tech Support Engineer and Project Manager in the pre-production test environment before release into the live environment.
  6. Support the Design Team in conducting surveys around the site for additional work.
  7. Manage subcontractors & assist with their site attendance to carry out reactive and PPM works on 3rd party equipment.
  8. Accurately collect and record site hardware and software configuration information.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience installing or servicing electronic security systems, typically Access Control, CCTV, and Intruder alarm systems.
  • Broad IT knowledge, e.g., software installation into Windows Operating Systems, IP-based systems, and networking principles.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical principles, such as measuring voltage, resistance, and current.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical components, including relays and resistors.
  • Good attention to detail to ensure accurate paperwork completion and adherence to procedures within allotted timescales.
  • Comfortable working irregular hours and being on a 24/7 call rota.
  • 5-year checkable employment history & Right to work in UK/EU unrestricted.
