Job Title: Senior Practitioner - Social Work with Families

We are seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Children's Services team in Croydon. As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing leadership and expertise in social work practice, working closely with families and children to achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert guidance and support to social workers and other team members to ensure high-quality practice and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based plans to support children and families, working in partnership with other agencies and professionals.
  • Conduct assessments and reviews, using analytical and continuous assessment skills to inform decision-making.
  • Write high-quality reports and case records, using clear and concise language to communicate complex information.
  • Make professional judgments and recommendations based on assessment and review, ensuring that the needs of children and families are prioritized.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Social Worker with up-to-date registration with Social Work England.
  • Foundation level systemic practice qualification desirable.
  • Practice Educator or Practice Teacher qualification desirable.
  • Knowledge of national policy, strategy, and developments regarding children's social care.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, standards, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of relevant theoretical frameworks, practice models, and research findings.
  • Able to maintain records that evidence engagement with children and families, informing the quality assurance framework.
