Job Title: Health and Safety Advisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team in Glasgow. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with company policies and procedures related to health and safety.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and review risk assessments and systems of work to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collate and analyze statistical data to inform health and safety strategies.
  • Lead small-scale projects and initiatives to improve health and safety performance.
  • Manage contractors and ensure they adhere to company health and safety standards.
  • Participate in the development of induction materials and training programs.
  • Work closely with the Group Health and Safety Manager to ensure alignment with company-wide health and safety objectives.
Requirements:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • IOSH membership or equivalent.
  • Full driving license.
  • Proven track record in an advisory capacity, preferably in a high-risk environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
