Job Title: Financial Systems Accountant

Join Henderson Group as a Financial Systems Accountant and play a key role in the implementation and improvement of our financial systems and processes.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with our finance team to deliver business transformation and process improvements across the organization. As a Financial Systems Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with the installation of new systems, developing and delivering staff training sessions, and supporting projects and the implementation of new processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the installation of new financial systems and ongoing improvements.
  • Develop and deliver staff training sessions to ensure a smooth transition to new systems.
  • Support projects and the implementation of new processes to drive business transformation.
  • Represent the finance department in IT project initiations and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Manage finance-related and group-wide projects actively, applying agile project management principles.
  • Support the quarter-end and year-end accounts processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Serve as a liaison with user departments, system providers, financial controllers, and internal/external auditors to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
  • Previous experience of finance systems implementation and process improvement.
  • Demonstrable experience of identifying and delivering process improvements, with a focus on financial systems and processes.
  • Accounts preparation experience and proficiency in Microsoft office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Full UK/EU Driving Licence.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet tight, challenging deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
