About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Development Engineer to join our technical team at Workonblockchain. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and professional development, especially for those looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Technical and Commercial Departments in issuing tender drawings to contractors, reviewing submissions, and engaging in preaward meetings.
  • Review engineering designs to ensure cost-effectiveness and buildability.
  • Coordinate as-built surveys and produce AutoCAD drawings for road and sewer adoption, including S278, S38, S104 & S185 adoptions.
  • Inspect road and sewer works from commencement to formal adoption by the Local Authority, ensuring compliance with budget and timescale.
  • Obtain, check, and issue plot postal addresses.
  • Obtain multi-utility/service connection quotations, assess them with the Engineering Manager, and monitor site teams in delivering mains and plot connections.
  • Ensure that all driveways and footpaths are completed to agreed standards prior to the legal completion of new homes.
  • Answer site queries regarding engineering issues with support from line management.
  • Prepare and maintain drawing registers and up-to-date records of engineering details and drawings.
  • Prepare External Works and Plot Drainage plans using AutoCAD in accordance with AHL's standards.
  • Produce, manage, and monitor a Materials Management Plan for topsoil and subsoil for each assigned development.
  • Check and coordinate information from external consultants, suppliers, and manufacturers regarding engineering-related details.
