Job Title: Timber Manufacturing Leader
Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced leader to fill the role of Timber Manufacturing Leader at our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our timber manufacturing plant, ensuring that we meet our production targets while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
About the Role: As the Timber Manufacturing Leader, you will be responsible for managing a team of circa 220 staff, with circa 10 direct reports. You will be required to develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity, while also identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all sawmilling operations to achieve agreed production targets;
- Develop and manage budgets incorporating all cost centres under area of responsibility;
- Contribute towards the achievement of the company's strategic and operational targets;
- Liaise with all teams to ensure effective use of resources to deliver agreed budgeted production;
- Oversee a production plant with circa 220 staff and circa 10 direct reports.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a general management or operational management role in heavy manufacturing. You should also possess a strong engineering focus and excellent communication and leadership skills.
