Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Production Supervisor to join our team at Workforce Staffing Ltd. As a Senior Supervisor, you will play a key role in assisting site management in operational technical cleaning activities, including labor and resource management, plant and equipment operation and maintenance, Health & Safety, Quality audits, and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Assist in the management of all operational cleaning activities to provide timely delivery of services to a standard that exceeds customer requirements within a defined area of the plant.
- Resource Management: Manage operational resources for efficient working, both as teams and as individuals, supporting capacity and resource planning activities where necessary.
- Team Supervision: Actively assist the Paint Shop Manager and other Site Contract Managers by maintaining robust and close supervision of the team.
- Investigations: Investigate employees for misconduct, gross misconduct, and other behavioral issues that arise, including breaches of Health & Safety regulations.
- Quality and Safety: Ensure that cleaning operations are undertaken in a safe manner, with a special focus on ensuring risk assessments and method statements are available, all necessary current best practices are used, and all necessary visual aids are available and used.
- Training and Development: Identify training requirements for staff and assist in the procurement of training and development, and maintain training records.
- Customer Satisfaction: Establish and maintain a clear understanding of customer quality standards and operate audit processes to ensure both customer and company expectations are met.
- System Knowledge: Establish and maintain a working knowledge of Company systems and endeavor to ensure adherence to these, paying special attention to Operating Systems and processes for timely delivery of services to the required standard.
Requirements:
- Health & Safety Management: Knowledge in Health & Safety management systems.
- Quality Auditing: Certified Lead Quality Auditor for 1st and 2nd parties.
- Problem-Solving: Understanding and application of problem-solving techniques (8D or similar).
- Driving License: Full Clean driving License.
- Customer Interaction: Handling customer complaints and queries face-to-face.
- Industrial Cleaning Experience: Managing in an industrial cleaning environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
- COSHH: Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
- IOSHH Managing Safety: IOSHH Managing Safety certification.
- Delegation: How to delegate effectively.
- Degree: Degree in a relevant field.
