Senior Quantity Surveyor

Morrison Water Services, a leading provider of water infrastructure solutions, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Falmer. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on all commercial issues within the project(s).
About the Role:
The successful candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying and experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for preparing internal commercial reporting, valuations, and cost reports, as well as administering subcontractor/supplier accounts and identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide assistance, support, and advice on all commercial issues within the Project(s).
- Encourage and develop a culture of commercial awareness within the team.
- Ensure the site team adheres to group procedures and governance.
- Preparation of internal commercial reporting and any other reports which may be required.
- Preparation of Valuations/Application for payment with full supporting documentation in accordance with the contract.
- Preparation of Cost Reports to the Client with contractually compliant supporting documentation.
- Administration of subcontractor/supplier accounts from the preparation of detailed requisitions, monitoring and authorisation of subcontract payments through to agreement of final accounts.
- Undertake the contract administration, including change management and maintain associated registers.
Requirements:
We are looking for a commercially astute individual with excellent knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract and Standard Methods of Measurement. You will also need strong communication skills, including presentations and negotiation, as well as programming techniques, project controls, risk analysis, contract admin, procurement, cost, and claims.
