Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Engineering Systems Developer to join our team at Azenta, Inc. in a challenging and rewarding role. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex automated systems for cutting-edge scientific applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in controls engineering or mechanical/electrical/software engineering with system-level experience. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role is required, along with excellent communication and presentation skills, organisational and coordination skills, and proficiency in project planning tools like Microsoft Project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement system-level designs that meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate subsystems and ensure seamless system operation.
  • Analyze and resolve technical issues related to system performance and reliability.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform system design and implementation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Organisational and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in project planning tools like Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with 3D CAD or AutoLab.
