About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Estimator to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in providing commercial cost insight to our business, working closely with teams across the organization to drive cost savings and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide up-to-date cost information to Group Commercial through benchmarking and analysis
  • Attend development meetings, contract pre-start, and subcontract package review meetings
  • Carry out pre-order meetings, including Health & Safety requirements, and finalize tender sums
  • Check and arrange subcontractor payments, obtaining necessary authorizations
  • Internal BOQ production for all elements of Vistry Works production
  • Place subcontractor orders, including interviews and reference checks
  • Issue variation orders and development changes, providing cost advice on major variations
  • Agree final accounts with subcontractors, ensuring works are completed within budget
  • Carry out extensive costing exercises for legislation changes and business innovation
Requirements
  • Experience in the MMC industry is desirable but not essential
  • Strong construction pricing knowledge and excellent networking skills
  • Excellent all-round communications skills and ability to assess and analyze information effectively
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy with attention to detail
  • Excellent team building and working skills, with high level of integrity and ability to be objective
  • Organizational and facilitation skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
