Job Description

Job Title: Materials Buyer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Materials Buyer to join our team at CSC Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for prioritizing daily workloads, liaising with site managers and suppliers, and sourcing the best products and prices for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize daily workloads to meet site requirements and deadlines
  • Liaise with site managers, contract managers, and project managers on a daily basis
  • Sourcing the best products and prices for all site material and plant hire requirements
  • Place orders, including one-off and bulk orders
  • Negotiate with suppliers for the most competitive prices, meeting all site requirements
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding future projects and gauge lead times for specific materials
  • Attend site project meetings
  • Work alongside commercial teams for value engineering and overall costing
  • Report to the Commercial Manager

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
