We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Family Therapist to join our team at the Brent Integrated Psychology and Psychotherapy Service (BIPPS). About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist assessment and clinical systemic formulation to individuals, couples, families, and social networks with severe and complex mental health needs. They will work across three specialist psychological therapies pathways: Complex Mental Health (CMH), Complex Emotional Needs (CEN), and Psychosis.
Key Responsibilities- To provide high-quality, evidence-based systemic psychotherapy services, including clinical assessment, therapeutic intervention, and consultation.
- To work autonomously with individuals, couples, and families affected by severe and enduring mental health difficulties.
- To provide systemically informed advice and consultancy to local teams and services for clients.
- To liaise with referrers, GPs, and other professionals to develop and review care plans and to arrange and lead network meetings as appropriate.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systemic psychotherapy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have a passion for promoting the systemic model within an adult mental health setting.
What We OfferWe provide excellent accredited supervision by senior therapists to help colleagues consolidate their therapy skills and self-reflexive practice in a focused and supported way. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute to a weekly family therapy clinic and a systemic case discussion and reflective practice group for family therapists working in Adult Mental Health in CNWL.
