At Severn Trent, we're seeking a skilled EDM Reporting Advisor to join our Water Quality & Environment team.

As a key member of the team, you'll be responsible for ensuring company-level compliance with dynamic external reporting demands.

You'll need to understand and interpret complex regulatory frameworks, translating them into actionable guidelines for operational teams.

Some of your key accountabilities will include:

  • Driving gold standard company-level compliance throughout the year, adapting to internal and external demands at pace
  • Ensuring effective processes and procedures are in place to deliver compliance and a strong audit trail for the annual return
  • Working with large datasets to diagnose issues, identify trends, and highlight risks to compliance
  • Identifying and implementing small improvement opportunities, liaising with stakeholders, and securing buy-in
  • Analysing and interpreting complex regulatory frameworks, translating them into actionable guidelines for operational teams
  • Driving adherence to operational processes and guidelines through exception reporting and influencing senior stakeholders and front-line teams
  • Working with wider business teams to develop and improve compliance dashboards to meet changing demands
  • Acting as the subject matter expert for EDM reporting and compliance to permit conditions

We're looking for someone with experience in external assurance and regulatory reporting, as well as delivering improvement opportunities from insight to implementation.

You'll need to be skilled at communicating complex technical and regulatory information to operational teams and senior stakeholders.

Good technical knowledge of waste processes and excellent verbal and written communication skills are also essential.
