Job Summary:

The Salvation Army UK and Ireland Territory is seeking a highly skilled Asset Manager to join our Property Team. As an Asset Manager, you will be responsible for the management of our regional property portfolio, working closely with the Head of Corporate Real Estate and Estates Manager to achieve our organization's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Asset Valuation and Management: You will have a practical knowledge and experience of preparing asset valuations, advising on property matters, and managing a diverse property portfolio with over 3,000 assets.
  • Disposal and Acquisition: You will be responsible for bringing forward disposal programs of surplus assets and acquiring assets to support the delivery of our mission.
  • Portfolio Optimization: You will work to ensure that our property portfolio is fit for purpose, meeting the needs of our organization and stakeholders.
  • Team Collaboration: You will work closely with our Property Team, external consultants, and other stakeholders to achieve our goals.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: A degree-level qualification and membership of a professional organization such as the RICS.
  • Experience: Widespread asset management and transactional experience across various asset classes.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to handle a large and varied workload, and experience with database management for property purposes.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to make effective decisions, collaborate with colleagues, and partner with stakeholders.
