Trusts Fundraising Manager

Job Summary
Kensington & Chelsea Foodbank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trusts Fundraising Manager to join our team. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for securing funding from grant-giving trusts and foundations to support our mission of providing emergency food to those in need.
About the Role
We are looking for a talented individual with a proven track record of securing funding from trusts and foundations. You will be responsible for researching and identifying potential funders, developing and submitting funding applications, and building and maintaining relationships with existing funders.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and Identification
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential grant-giving trusts and foundations that align with our mission and goals.
- Prioritize potential funders based on their giving history, alignment with our mission, and potential for funding.
- Funding Applications
- Develop and submit high-quality funding applications that clearly articulate our mission, goals, and impact.
- Work closely with colleagues to develop compelling funding proposals that showcase our work and achievements.
- Relationship Building
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing funders, ensuring excellent stewardship and timely reporting.
- Identify opportunities for joint funding applications with other local Trussell Trust food banks.
- Portfolio Management
- Develop and manage a trusts fundraising portfolio capable of generating significant income.
- Establish a trusts fundraising pipeline, including key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and inform future fundraising strategies.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Trussell Trust network, sharing best practice and learning from other charities.
- Proactively engage with fundraising training and skills development opportunities.
Requirements
- Strong experience of trusts and foundations fundraising, with a proven track record of securing funding.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate funders.
- Experience of setting, managing, and reporting against fundraising KPIs.
- Tenacious and able to embrace, develop, and shape a new role.
- Well-organized, proactive, and a self-starter who is able to self-motivate.
- Able to demonstrate empathy for people from disadvantaged, marginalized, or socially-excluded backgrounds.
