About the Role



The Business and Library Systems team at Queen Mary University of London is seeking a highly skilled Business and Library Systems Analyst/Developer to provide second-line support, maintenance, and enhancement services for the University's library and business applications.



This role involves ensuring the overall design of mission-critical enterprise applications and guaranteeing their effective, reliable, and efficient delivery.



About You



To be successful in this position, you will need to have extensive experience in the support and maintenance of library and business applications, with a strong understanding of library systems.



Additionally, you should possess the ability to identify, diagnose, manage, and resolve application problems effectively.



Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or demonstrate significant experience in technical support.



The successful candidate will possess robust skills and experience in the following areas, unless otherwise stated:





  • Proficient technical knowledge and practical experience in library systems.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with customers, vendors, and departmental colleagues.

  • Good problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.

  • Effective communication.

  • Ability to create clear system, support, and process documentation.

  • Experience in creating and maintaining interfaces between different corporate systems.

  • Ability to provide training and create relevant documentation.

  • Self-motivation and a willingness to challenge and influence others in the provision of innovative and cost-effective solutions.

  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to recognize and pass on knowledge to others.
