We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team at Fawkes & Reece London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of our timber frame and low-rise apartment developments across the region.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate the financial aspects of construction projects, including cost management and subcontractor payments.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
- Collaborate with our development team to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management and stakeholders.
- Degree in a construction-related subject, such as quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the timber frame and low-rise apartment sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction law, contracts, and financial management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Proficient in using construction software and technology, including project management tools and financial analysis software.
- A competitive salary of up to £65,000 per annum.
