About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team at Fawkes & Reece London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of our timber frame and low-rise apartment developments across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the financial aspects of construction projects, including cost management and subcontractor payments.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
  • Collaborate with our development team to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Degree in a construction-related subject, such as quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the timber frame and low-rise apartment sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction law, contracts, and financial management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in using construction software and technology, including project management tools and financial analysis software.
