Exciting Opportunity for a Creative Teaching Assistant

EdEx - Education Recruitment is working with a long-standing client primary school in the Borough of Hillingdon to find a vibrant and engaging Teaching Assistant to support pupils within EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) and KS1. The ideal candidate will be a graduate who can contribute to the school's 'respect, resilience, and readiness' values.

As a Creative Teaching Assistant, you will provide general support to pupils with their education, as well as targeted 1:1 support to pupils with SEN (Special Educational Needs) including ASD, ADHD, Global Delay, and Down Syndrome. You will also assist with the management of the class, carry out interventions, and deliver programmes tailored to children's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching Assistant providing SEN & EYFS Support both group / 1:1
  • Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 & KS2 with SEN & behavioural requirements
  • Working with groups of children to carry out valuable interventions
  • Using creativity and compassion to excite and educate the pupils

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children
  • A passion for education and creating an inspirational environment for children to flourish within
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative and confident to use innovation to create fun and exciting activities
